I am Maresa Smith.

For me, “art” is capturing times and places exactly how I see them. I eyeball the view and take a photo, or the picture that I’m about to recreate with paint; I envision the placement of the collage or designs on a page, before the components are even there. It’s very fluid, and how I see is constantly evolving, so the things I create are ever-changing.

A passion and goal of mine is to revive physical media, and continue the production of traditional media. It's something that has died out within the years due to the advancements in technology. I find it so important that we keep something that we can hold in our hands, or that makes us feel nostalgic, alive. Thus far, I’ve attempted to do this with my magazine, “Nice Enough”, making short movies on film, and producing photoshoots with old film cameras and themes.
